Entry Acceptance Rules
Number of Bottles Required Per Entry: 2
HOW TO ENTER IN 10 SIMPLE STEPS
- Brew beer
- Put it in two (2) 500ml brown glass bottles that have no identifying marks - no labels, no embossing
- Seal it with a crown cap or cork - no flip-tops! - that also has no identifying marks; printed caps are allowed, but must be blacked out completely.
- Read the style guidelines
- Register on this web site + enter your beer in the style where it fits best
- Note special ingredients or additional information, if the style specifies. Failure to provide required details may impact the judges' scoring of your entry.
- Print labels and attach them to the bottle with rubber/elastic bands - not tape, not glue
- Submit all required paperwork together with your entry
- Wait for scores and (possibly) glory
Every year, entries are disqualified because they are in the wrong sized bottles or have labels stuck on with glue.
Every year, entries can't be judged properly because the brewer didn't list required information.
Every year, good beers miss out on medals because they are entered in the wrong style.
Don't make the same mistakes! Give yourself the best chance to win!
And good luck!

Packing and Shipping
Carefully pack your entries in a sturdy box. Line the inside of your carton with a plastic trash bag. Partition and pack each bottle with adequate packaging material. Please do not over pack!
Write clearly: Fragile. This Side Up. on the package. Please only use bubble wrap as your packing material.
Enclose each of your bottle labels in a small zip-top bag before attaching to their respective bottles. This way it makes it possible for the organizer to identify specifically which entry has broken if there is damage during shipment.
Every reasonable effort will be made to contact entrants whose bottles have broken to make arrangements for sending replacement bottles.
If you live in the United States, please note that it is illegal to ship your entries via the United States Postal Service (USPS). Private shipping companies have the right to refuse your shipment if they are informed that the package contains glass and/or alcoholic beverages. Be aware that entries mailed internationally are often required by customs to have proper documentation. These entries might be opened and/or returned to the shipper by customs officials at their discretion. It is solely your responsibility to follow all applicable laws and regulations.
Judging Session Locations and Dates
The awards ceremony will take place once judging is completed.
